Job summary

The Royal Parks seeks a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage costs and value across construction and maintenance projects within its historic spaces in London. The role covers cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, and contract management through the full project lifecycle.

You will prepare cost plans, schedules of works and bills of quantities, monitor budgets, and ensure transparent financial reporting. NEC3/4 experience, degree-level qualification, and a likely RICS path are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimations, contract administration and procurement.
• Knowledge and experience of NEC3/4 contract administration.
• Experience in cost planning, benchmarking, and value engineering.
• Report writing and analytical skills.
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent through training/experience.
• A professional qualification or about to obtain RICS.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs and ensure value across construction and maintenance projects.
• Support cost estimation, budgeting, procurement and contract management across RIBA stages.
• Prepare detailed cost plans, schedules of works and bills of quantities.
• Advise on procurement strategies and ensure transparent, compliant financial processes.
• Carry out feasibility studies, risk assessments and cost forecasting.
• Oversee tender preparation, contract documentation and evaluation.
• Produce cost and progress reports from site inspections.
