Job summary

Client in London is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee cost planning, procurement, contract administration, valuations, and project financial performance while ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, tenders, and subcontractor packages; managing valuations, variations, payments, and procurement;

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of quantity surveying experience.
  • Experience with cost management, procurement, and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Manage project costs, valuations, variations, and payments.
  • Prepare tenders, quotations, and subcontractor packages.
  • Support procurement and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Administer contracts and manage commercial risks.
  • Prepare regular cost and commercial reports.
  • Review progress against budgets and timelines.
  • Maintain commercial records and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and company requirements.
