Job summary

Henley Chase in Cwmbran, South Wales, is seeking a experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join its growing commercial team focused on refurbishments. You will manage the full commercial lifecycle from tender through final account on multiple public-sector refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities include detailed cost estimates, BOQs, subcontract pricing, cost forecasting, and final accounts, with collaboration across project managers and procurement to ensure commercial success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in construction.
• Experience with cost planning, procurement and commercial management.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing tenders and pricing commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specs and project docs to price works.
• Measure quantities and produce BOQs and tender breakdowns.
• Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support procurement of subcontract packages and materials.
• Manage project costs and maintain budgets.
• Monitor variations, valuations and change control.
• Assist with financial reporting, cost forecasting and cash flow.
• Support final accounts preparation and agreement.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure commercial success.
