Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join its growing team in Cwmbran, South Wales. You will manage the full commercial lifecycle of refurbishment projects for public sector and facilities clients, from tender to final account.

The role requires interpreting drawings, pricing works, and cost control, with a focus on procurement and collaboration with project teams. A relevant qualification is preferred, with strong negotiation and communication skills expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in construction.
• Commercial refurbishment experience is desirable.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specs.
• Experience with tenders, pricing, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specs and docs to price works.
• Measure quantities and produce BOQs and tender breakdowns.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support procurement of subcontract packages and materials.
• Manage project costs and monitor budgets.
