Job summary

PE Global Recruitment is partnering with a leading European data centre delivery specialist on a major project in Blyth. We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and support the delivery of this large-scale development.

This role suits someone with 2–5 years in construction who wants to broaden their commercial experience, working alongside experienced professionals on procurement, cost control, valuations and final accounts within a busy project environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related subject.
• 2-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction.
• Interest in developing within commercial management and QS.
• Good understanding of construction projects and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial management of subcontractor packages from procurement through to completion.
• Support tendering, package development and procurement activities.
• Review subcontractor pricing and input into commercial evaluations.
• Help manage subcontract documentation and maintain records.
• Assist with valuations, payments, variations and cost control.
• Support commercial close-out and final accounts activities.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, project managers and design teams.
• Maintain accurate, well-organised commercial documentation.
