Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Manchester is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to deliver cost planning, budgeting and commercial governance across complex infrastructure programmes. You will administer NEC contracts, produce forecasts, and support procurement while advising on commercial risk and value for money.

You will work with clients, project managers and the supply chain, contributing to cost certainty and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial management and cost control knowledge.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Ability to analyse cost data and communicate risks clearly.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaborative working.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• RICS accreditation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cost planning, estimating and budget management from feasibility through to final account.
• Administer and manage NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events and change control.
• Prepare accurate cost forecasts, cashflows and monthly commercial reports.
• Support procurement activities including tender documentation, analysis and contract preparation.
• Manage contractor accounts, including valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Provide commercial advice to support informed project decisions.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Support value management, benchmarking and cost assurance activities.
