Job summary

Gold Group are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a major civils contract in Bristol and surrounding areas. You will manage commercial aspects from tender through to final account on National Grid Civils Framework, delivering civils works for new substations and related infrastructure.

The role offers ownership of commercial decisions, close integration with delivery teams and clients, and real opportunities to progress within a long-standing framework.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering.
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Drive to take responsibility and develop.
• Genuine interest in progressing your career.
• Ability to build good working relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial aspects of civils packages from tender through to final account.
• Subcontract procurement and management.
• Valuations, applications for payment and cost reporting.
• Managing variations, change and commercial risk.
• Supporting forecasting and financial reporting.
• Working closely with the project and delivery teams.
• Developing strong relationships with the client and supply chain.
• Helping to identify opportunities to improve commercial performance across the framework.
