Job summary

Bimplus in London is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities on bespoke interior projects. The role covers pre-contract through delivery and final account, with emphasis on valuations, variations and final accounts, and close collaboration with delivery teams and clients.

You will handle cost reporting, forecasting and procurement support on high-value, specialist subcontract packages in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

• Managing project costs, budgets and commercial performance

What We're Looking For

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience
• Experience working for a specialist subcontractor
• Strong variations, valuations and final account experience
• Understanding of the full commercial lifecycle of projects
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and contractors
• Good Excel, reporting and forecasting skills
• Ability to commercially manage projects with limited supervision

Candidates from bespoke joinery, high-end fit-out, luxury residential interiors, furniture and cabinetry, stone, architectural metalwork or specialist finishes would be particularly interesting.

This is less suited to somebody whose experience has been entirely within general housebuilding or a traditional main contractor environment without significant responsibility for specialist subcontract packages.

About You

You’ll be commercially sharp, organised and confident working on complex bespoke projects where drawings, specifications and client requirements can evolve throughout delivery.

You’ll need to quickly understand what has been bought, what has changed, what has been delivered and what needs to be commercially recovered.

You’ll be comfortable protecting the commercial position of a project while maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivery teams.
