Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join our team on high-end residential projects in the Bristol area. You will manage the commercial and financial performance of projects, prepare budgets and cost plans, and handle valuations, payments and final accounts.

Working closely with project and site teams, you will procure subcontractors, manage variations, monitor costs and identify commercial risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to exacting

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, ideally high-end residential or bespoke projects.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills.
• Knowledge of contracts, procurement and valuations.
• Excellent attention to detail and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on exceptional, high-specification homes and unique construction projects?

We're working with an established and highly regarded chartered building company specialising in the delivery of bespoke, high-end residential projects. With a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship, they're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

The Role

Key Responsibilities Include

About You

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has experience within construction, ideally with a background in high-end residential, bespoke homes, luxury developments or high-specification building projects.

You'll Ideally Have

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
• Strong commercial and financial management skills
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and valuations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
• A commercially minded and proactive approach
