Job summary

Fawkes and Reece in Bristol is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-regarded regional main contractor. You will manage your own projects or assist Senior QS on larger schemes, across education, healthcare, commercial and heritage sectors.

The role offers a salary up to £60k, discretionary bonuses and a market-leading benefits package, with a strong project pipeline and supportive team culture across regional offices.

Qualifications

• BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC required.
• Experience delivering projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Proficient with JCT and NEC contracts.
• Must be able to commute to Bristol and visit site/office.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work with pre-construction on 2-stage tenders.
• Oversee procurement and subcontractor packages.
• Handle final accounts and dispute resolution.
• Liaise with client teams.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well regarded regional main contractor based in Bristol. The business operates out of several regional offices across the South, undertaking projects across a diverse portfolio including education, healthcare, commercial and heritage valuing typically up to £15mil.

As a result of continued growth in the region, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for either managing your own projects or will work alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor on larger or more complex schemes.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

• Work alongside pre-construction team on any 2-stage tenders
• Oversee the projects procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
• Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
• Liaise with the clients teams
• Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role:

• Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
• Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
• Must live in a commutable location to Bristol and be happy to visit office and site as required
• MUST have the full right to work in the UK
