Job summary

Bimplus in Wakefield is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control on high-value new build projects from inception to completion. You will oversee 2-3 live projects, manage valuations, cost reports and forecasts, and ensure robust commercial performance.

The role offers autonomy, progression, and project ownership within a supportive team, with regular travel to London and occasional trips elsewhere in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential or commercial construction.
• Proven ability to manage cost control and commercial aspects on live projects.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 2-3 live projects with full commercial responsibility.
• Produce cost reports, valuations and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Appoint and manage subcontractors and ensure robust financial and project performance.
• Report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and support project delivery.

Based in Wakefield, you'll travel around twice a month, mainly to projects in London, with occasional travel elsewhere in the UK.

You'll oversee 2-3 live projects, managing all commercial and contractual responsibilities. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll produce cost reports, valuations, and forecasts, as well as appoint and manage subcontractor ensuring robust financial and project performance.
