Job summary

Blue Inn Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with significant groundworks experience for a role based in west London. The position is predominantly office-based with regular site visits, offering a negotiable salary based on experience.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of groundworks QS experience, familiarity with frame works is a plus, and a recognised engineering degree. Strong time management and responsibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years QS experience in Groundworks.
• Experience in frames would be desirable (but not essential).
• Degree qualified in a relevant degree (Eng BSc, MSc, HND or HNC).
• Good time management and high responsibilities and working ability to meet the deadline.

Responsibilities

• Preparing valuations for interim applications including variations
• Preparing, negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Adjustments/remeasuring of Bills of Quantities
• Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations
• Preparing valuation and payment certificates
• Monitoring costs and ensuring budget targets are met.
• Monthly costs/value reconciliation.
• Checking material sizes and quantities for procurement

Our client is an Industry Award- Winning contractor specialising in Groundworks and RC Frames based in west London. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with significant groundworks experience.

• Preparing, negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Adjustments/remeasuring of Bills of Quantities
• Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations
• Preparing valuation and payment certificates
• Monitoring costs and ensuring budget targets are met.
• Monthly costs/value reconciliation.
• Checking material sizes and quantities for procurement

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND TRAINING:
