Job summary

Wirral-based PQS consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team and manage commercial aspects of fast-track fit-out and refurbishment projects.

You will provide professional quantity surveying services, cost planning, procurement analysis and client liaison from pre-construction through final account, supporting the delivery of a varied project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience within fit-out, refurbishment or building.
• Consultancy / PQS experience would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience with cost planning, procurement and tendering.
• Strong valuation, variation and final account experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confident working with clients and contractors.
• Strong Excel and IT skills.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification.
• Full UK driving licence advantageous.

• Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting.

About the Company

Our client is an established Quantity Surveying and Project Consultancy practice based on the Wirral, providing professional commercial and cost management services across the construction sector.

The business works across a varied portfolio of projects, with a particular focus on fast-track fit-out and refurbishment schemes, providing clients with commercial advice and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in the commercial management of their project portfolio.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing professional quantity surveying and commercial services across a range of fast-track fit-out projects.

You will work closely with clients, contractors, design teams and project managers, providing cost advice and commercial management from pre-construction through to final account.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QS looking to develop their career within a PQS consultancy, working on fast-paced and varied fit-out projects.
