VanRath in Belfast is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking construction team, handling cost management and contract negotiation on diverse projects.

Applicants should hold a relevant Bachelor's degree and have five years in QS; RICS membership is desirable. The role requires independent and team collaboration, with opportunities for professional development in a client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar quantity surveying role.
• Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with detailed cost estimates and contribute to pre-construction planning.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring strict cost control.
• Support tender preparation and evaluate contractor bids.
• Lead contract negotiations and monitor contractual obligations.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality, liaising with project teams.
• Manage project scope changes and assess financial impacts.
• Prepare final accounts and ensure accurate financial documentation.
