Job summary

Fortis Search is partnering with an established construction consultancy in Leeds to recruit a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team, delivering cost management services across retail and real estate sectors.

You will prepare cost plans, estimates and tender documents; manage procurement, valuations and final accounts; monitor budgets and risks; collaborate with clients, contractors and project teams from inception to completion. MRICS is desirable.

Qualifications

• An accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong cost-management and commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

The Role

• Monitor project budgets, identify commercial risks and support cost control.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams.
• Contribute to successful project delivery from inception through to completion.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Cost Management role.
• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Experience across retail or other construction sectors is advantageous.
• Working towards RICS chartership or MRICS desired
