Role

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration activities.
  • Preparing and managing valuations, variations, payment recommendations and monthly financial reports.

  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supporting commercial compliance and risk management.
  • Contributing to bids, fee proposals, benchmarking exercises, sector initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to create a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
About You

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with strong technical and commercial capability, together with the confidence to work directly with clients and project stakeholders.

You will ideally have:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Several years experience delivering quantity surveying and cost management services within a consultancy, client-side or similar environment.
  • Experience working towards, or having achieved, RICS chartership.
  • Experience working across complex projects within the built environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and an ability to identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different sectors and project environments.
  • Good IT and digital skills, with experience using systems to support cost reporting, financial tracking and project documentation.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working as part of multi-disciplinary and cross-functional project teams.
  • Previous experience acting as an Employers Agent would be advantageous.

For candidates working towards chartership, structured APC support and guidance will be available to help you achieve your professional goals.

The business provides a broad range of professional services across the project lifecycle, including cost management, project management, commercial advice, building consultancy and strategic advisory services.

Hybrid working is also available, providing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration across the team.
