Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 main contractor on a high-profile student accommodation project in Leeds. This site-based role covers pre- and post-construction work on a £175m block with over 650 apartments.

You will integrate into the commercial team, reporting to the Senior Project Surveyor, delivering cost control, valuations, and final accounts while aligning with client expectations. UK-wide CPD encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience across pre- and post-construction stages.
• Bills of quantities, cost estimates and cost plans experience.
• Strong cost control and value engineering awareness.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project team to provide cost-effective advice.

Are you an Quantity Surveyor looking for a new exciting opportunity working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a high profile student accommodation block in Leeds?

Due to several new contract wins, my client who are a UK leading Tier 1 Main Contractor with an approx turnover of £1.4bn are looking for an experienced site based Quantity Surveyor. to join their team.

The role of an Quantity Surveyor

You will play an essential part of the commercial team reporting directly to the Senior Project Surveyor working on a high profile £175m Student accomodation block consisting of over 650 apartments. As Quantity Surveyor you will play a vital role in supporting both pre-construction and post-construction stages, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and meeting client expectations.

Duties of an Quantity Surveyor

• Collaborate with the Senior Project Surveyor and project teams to provide professional and cost-effective advice, contributing to the successful completion of projects.
• Support in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, cost estimates, and cost plans.
• Assist in conducting feasibility studies and site visits to gather crucial data for accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and value engineering throughout projects.
• Undertake accurate measurements, quantities, and valuations of work completed, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, valuations, and final accounts.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices, actively participating in continuing professional development opportunities.
