Job summary

TSR Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a Leeds-based role with a main contractor handling commercial and industrial refurbishments up to £1.5 million. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with a competitive package.

You will commercially manage projects, oversee subcontractor payments, produce CVRs, and final accounts, while liaising with site teams and the Managing Director. Leeds-based and field-focused.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a QS, ideally for a main contractor.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• Proactive Quantity Surveyor who can identify issues and implement actions.
• Forward thinking and dynamic professional.

Responsibilities

• Manage own projects with values from £100k to £1 million or more.
• Subcontractor payments and approvals.
• Produce cost value reports and implement corrective actions.
• Final accounts and site valuations.
• Visit sites and liaise with the site manager.
• Procurement of materials and labour costs.
• Support and liaise with the Managing Director.
• Manage cashflows and financial statements.

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise working on commercial and industrial refurbishment projects with values up to £1 million.

TSR Recruitment is working with an established main contractor to recruit a talented Quantity Surveyor to commercially manage several projects from small refurbs to larger projects with values up to £1.5 million

Role Responsibilities:

• Commercially run your own projects with typical project values from £100k to £1 million
• Subcontractor payments and approvals
• Produce Cost value reports and identify any failings offering solutions to any issues and actins in place to bring them in line
• Final accounts
• Visits sites to liaise with the site Manager and carry out valuations
• Procurement of materials and labour costs
• Support and laise with the Managing Director
• Cashflows and financial statements

What We're Looking For:

• 5 years plus experience as a QS ideally for a main contractor
