Job summary

You will manage financial and contractual aspects from inception to final account, handle valuations, variations, budgets, and forecasts, and travel to nationwide project sites to ensure cost control and value delivery.

Quantity Surveyor - Waterloo and Project Sites

£70,000 Per Annum

Hill McGlynn is delighted to be working with a well-established regional contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team, based out of their Waterloo Head Office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced main contractor environment and is looking to work across a diverse portfolio of nationwide projects.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects from inception through to final account. You will work closely with project teams to ensure costs are controlled, risks are mitigated, and value is maximised.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of projects
• Cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management
• Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Monitoring project budgets and forecasting costs

Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors, And Internal Teams

• Proven experience working for a main contractor (essential)
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Experience across multiple project types

Cladding Experience Is Advantageous But Not Essential

• Ability to manage workload across nationwide projects
