Job summary

Equans in London is seeking a Quantity Surveyor on a 12-month FTC, full-time 37.5 hours, hybrid working. You will support the HMCTS contract with commercial management, risk and revenue protection, and governance.

The role requires degree in Quantity Surveying or Law, knowledge of UK commercial law, and ability to manage variations, provide client negotiation, and contribute to growth. Equans offers salary, bonus, benefits, and career development.

  • Educated to degree/diploma level in either Law or Quantity Surveying
  • Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial (Construction Act etc)
  • Ideally a member or training to be member of RICS
  • DBS Standard check evidence may be required

Responsibilities

  • Identify, monitor and report on risks within contracts and operations
  • Manage variation/change control to capture revenue
  • Lead governance within contracts to meet contract requirements and internal governance
  • Negotiate with clients to resolve variations and protect company exposure
  • Provide input into dispute resolution activities and contract governance framework
  • Ensure contract reviews and governance are embedded across contracts

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. They will provide contract commercial management services and profit improvement along with focus on compliance.
