A renowned construction recruitment agency is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor for a short-term freelance contract in West London. This site-based role requires close collaboration with subcontractors and project teams, managing variations on a live project. Strong experience as an Assistant QS or Project QS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines are essential.   • Be based full time on site (with occasional visits to head office).
  • Identify works from the discovery schedule.
  • Physically measure on site and prepare quantities, scoping documents, and assess programme impacts.
  • Collate subcontractor costs and prepare Change Requests for EA instruction.
  • Instruct subcontractors to proceed with approved works.
  • Maintain accurate records of works undertaken for each variation including timesheets, materials, operatives, tools, and plant.

Salter Grange are currently recruiting for a site based Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor to support the team in preparing and managing variations on a live project.
