Qualifications

Responsibilities

About your new company:

Our client is a progressive building restoration and heritage contractor operating throughout London & South East across the commercial and prime residential sectors with an exciting portfolio of iconic landmark buildings and private residences.

Due to continued organic growth, our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in building restoration / heritage to compliment and support the commercial team on newley secured projects for 2026.

Duties for the Heritage & Bulding Restoration Quantity Surveyor:
  • Reviewing and appointing subcontract packages issued by clients at the beginning of a project and subsequently managing through to final account.
  • Preparing monthly applications/valuations and agree certification with clients as part of the monthly payment cycle, including tracking material and labour costs throughout the project on a weekly basis.
  • Producing accurate cash flow submissions each month based on predicted incoming and outgoing payments for each project you are involved with, including a planned vs actual forecast tracker.
  • Preparing accurate monthly internal cost reports/CVRs for each project to track their profitability.
  • Extension of time submissions to recover preliminary staff and labour costs due to delays where are out of our control as and when required.
Requirements for the Heritage & Bulding Restoration Quantity Surveyor:
  • Quantity Surveying experience (main contracting or specialist sectors)
  • Heritage / conservation experience desirable
  • Strong JCT knowledge
  • Organised, commercially sharp, great communicator
