Job summary

Brevan Howard is seeking a Summer Internship candidate in London who will apply quantitative and ML skills to real-world problems and contribute to production-quality analysis and tools.

You will work with the QIS team on data pipelines, model development, and AI integration, with training and mentoring to prepare for the 2028 Graduate Program. This is a paid, on-site internship in London.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year undergraduate, or 1st year masters/PhD student, to be completed before July 2028.
• Strong mathematical and quantitative problem-solving abilities with technical skills in Excel, VBA, R, AI and ML.
• Interest in financial markets, trading and financial products.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong written/verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Build pipelines to extract and analyze data, develop models and trading signals for Portfolio Managers.
• Integrate AI into analytical systems and develop AI-powered tools using latest LLMs and agent workflows.
• Contribute to the core analytics library used by Quants and PMs for research, trading and risk management.
• Participate in a one-week in-depth training on Financial Markets topics including Macroeconomics, FX, Digital Assets, Derivatives, Trading Strategies, Risk Management, Excel and Python, plus AI tools/LMMs.
• Attend talks, mentor programs, and social events.
• Experience an internship designed to lead towards the 2028 Graduate Program.
