Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Senior Quality Test Engineer-II to drive automated and performance testing across a data-intensive platform. You will partner with product and engineering to plan, implement scalable test strategies and ensure delivery of high-quality software products and data solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership of testing quality, continuous improvement, and collaboration across distributed teams, with flexible working arrangements and a strong emphasis on efficient, reliable testing

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of overall product quality and testing across development and testing activities.
• Strong QA methodologies, SDLC understanding, and process improvement experience.
• Java programming with ability to design and maintain automation solutions.
• Hands-on automation and performance testing across multiple layers and services.
• Experience with CI/CD integration and cloud platforms (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to automated and performance testing for projects to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to plan testing to meet requirements and quality standards.
• Develop and execute tests with scalable automation and maintainable test suites.
• Research and adopt testing tools to enhance quality and reduce costs.
• Report issues with root-cause analysis and document findings.
