Job summary

ACS Executive seeks a Quality Systems Engineer to own digital quality management across the water, wastewater and energy sectors. You will develop how inspections are planned, recorded and approved in Procore, while delivering hands-on QA across fabrication, assembly and testing.

Responsibilities include building inspection plans, managing quality checkpoints, material inspections, factory acceptance tests, NCR management and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• A degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Quality engineering or assurance experience within manufacturing or engineering.

Job description

We’re recruiting a Quality Systems Engineer to take ownership of digital quality management within an engineering business supplying the water, wastewater and energy sectors.

You’ll develop how inspections are planned, recorded and approved in Procore, while providing hands-on quality assurance across fabrication, assembly and testing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building standard inspection and test plans, digital checklists and quality workflows.
• Managing quality checkpoints so work progresses only when the required inspections and approvals are complete.
• Checking incoming materials and inspecting fabrication and assembly.
• Planning and leading factory acceptance tests, including client-witnessed inspections.
• Investigating non-conformances and verifying corrective actions.
• Producing quality dashboards and reports, supporting audits and training colleagues to use the system consistently.

You’ll need a degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, plus quality engineering or assurance experience within manufacturing or engineering. You must be able to interpret engineering drawings and demonstrate practical experience of ISO 9001, inspections, NCR management and root cause analysis.

This role includes responsibility for improving processes, configuring quality workflows and supporting their adoption. Applicants should be comfortable taking on both the digital systems work and practical manufacturing quality responsibilities.

Experience with Procore or another digital QMS is desirable. Inspection and test plan development, water industry requirements, welding quality and internal auditing experience would also be useful.
