Job Title: Quality Systems Officer

We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Systems Officer to join our award-winning business. This role is based on-site in Heywood.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure Quality standards are maintained and QMS procedures are followed correctly.
  2. Maintain systems for measuring aspects of quality management and regulatory compliance.
  3. Monitor, measure, and report on quality issues, opportunities, and risks within agreed formats and timescales.
  4. Ensure quality activities meet organizational requirements for quality management, health & safety, legal stipulations, and environmental policies.
  5. Perform and maintain core site activities of the QMS including document control, CAPAs, investigations, complaints, supplier management, and change controls.
  6. Ensure corrective actions are taken to address non-conformances and perform verifications.
  7. Undertake detailed root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
  8. Perform internal audits in adherence to the audit schedule.
  9. Maintain KPIs from electronic QMS activities weekly/monthly and analyze trends of non-conformities.
  10. Manage Quality Induction and eQMS training.
  11. Update and approve product labels.
  12. Support certification to ISO9001, ISO13485, and ISO17025, and facilitate client/regulatory audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant scientific qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Previous experience with quality management systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and report writing.
  • Methodical, process-driven, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively.
