Job summary

Lightbody’s of Hamilton is seeking an Advanced Team Lead to drive quality on the production floor. You will lead from the front, ensure safe, efficient operation and coach a skilled team to meet KPIs across safety, quality and cost.

In a fast-paced bakery environment, you’ll implement improvements, manage shift handovers, and champion GMP and Food Safety standards while supporting staffing and training to grow capability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising shop-floor teams in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP, Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.
• Experience driving KPIs such as waste, throughput and quality.
• Strong communication across all levels and structured problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of shift process adherence and lead your team to deliver high-quality products safely.
• Drive KPI performance including waste reduction, throughput, yield and quality.
• Lead continuous improvement using A3 methodologies and action teams.
• Use Leader Standard Work and Short Interval Control to improve hourly/daily performance.
• Ensure GMP, Food Safety and site standards compliance and promote a safety-first culture.
• Plan workforce with labour budgets and support production planning and changeovers.
• Monitor time and attendance; support training and succession planning.
• Communicate clearly via handovers, briefings and digital platforms.
