Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager (Nuclear / Welding) to lead a small team of quality engineers and inspectors at a Milton Keynes site. You will own quality procedures, maintain the QMS, and manage supplier quality, with occasional travel to client projects and suppliers.

The role combines hands-on and managerial duties, offering autonomy to shape procedures and ensure compliance with welding and nuclear standards. Excellent benefits accompany the package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a quality team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with welding/fabrication quality controls and related accreditations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of quality professionals (Inspectors to Engineers).
• Oversee all on-site quality procedures and supplier quality.
• Maintain the QMS and welding certifications.
• Shape the role by introducing and improving procedures.
• Manage PFMEA, Control Plans & RCA across projects.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements and audits.
