Job summary

Inform3 Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the day-to-day quality activities on the shop floor in a manufacturing setting. You will directly manage the CMM and Final Inspection teams, ensuring resources, scheduling, and performance align with production and customer demands.

The role requires strong experience with AS9100, process control, and continuous improvement, along with robust communication across operations, QA, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ strong experience managing an operational quality role within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the CMM and Final Inspection teams to meet production and customer demands.
• Own CMM scheduling, utilisation, issue resolution and daily performance.
• Drive SPC analysis and reduce inspection strategies per risk-based approaches.
• Manage CMM and final inspection of FAI components with timely completion.
• Control concessions, deviations, supplier corrective actions and customer complaints.
• Investigate and document quality concerns with the wider Quality team.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Assist with internal/external audits and supplier/customer audits.
• Participate in audit preparation, execution and follow-up actions.

About the Company

Our client here at Inform3 is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Quality activities, with direct accountability for CMM and Final Inspection teams.

This position provides strong operational leadership, translating the Quality Management System into effective execution on the shop floor while supporting customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Duties Include

• Lead and manage the CMM and Final Inspection teams, ensuring adequate resources, capability, and scheduling to meet production and customer demands.
• Own CMM scheduling, utilisation, issue resolution, and day-to-day operational performance.
• Drive SPC analysis and reduced inspection strategies in line with risk-based approaches.
• Manage CMM and final inspection of FAI components, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Ensure effective control of concessions, deviations, supplier corrective action requests, and customer complaints from an operational perspective.
• Work closely with Operations Managers and the wider Quality team to ensure all quality concerns, non-conformances, and process deviations are properly investigated, actioned, and documented.
• Support robust root cause analysis and the definition of effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Support internal and external audit activities, including customer and supplier audits.
• Participate in audit preparation, execution, and follow-up actions relevant to operational quality.
• Attend and contribute to Quality, Engineering, Operations, R&D, and Scheduling meetings.
• Act as the Quality Operations representative during customer visits and audits.
• Directly manage CMM Operators and Final Inspection personnel.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management.
