Job summary

SBD Apparel Ltd is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the continued development of Quality across the business. You will strengthen systems, standards and processes while building a Right First Time culture across the product lifecycle.

The role is highly collaborative, partnering with Operations, Design and Supply Chain to embed QMS, drive supplier quality and support NPDI through production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment, with a practical hands on approach.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and experience developing, implementing or improving a Quality Management System, ideally including certification.
• Strong experience in RCCA with a focus on preventing recurrence.
• Experience developing Quality KPIs and process controls to improve RFT/FPY, reduce defects, rework and scrap, and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience leading or managing QC/inspection activities and developing clear product, process and Quality standards.
• Strong communication, influencing and problem solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the business.

Responsibilities

• Embed a Quality First and Right First Time culture.
• Build relationships across the business and partner with Operations.
• Be hands-on within manufacturing to coach teams and drive improvements.
• Own ISO 9001 programme and support certification.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System and document control.
• Develop product and process standards and work instructions.
• Lead RCCA investigations and verify effectiveness.
• Manage supplier quality and conduct risk-based audits.
• Involve Quality early in NPDI/NPI processes.
