Job summary

Enbarr Recruitment and Training is seeking a Quality Manager for our leading international client based at Wrexham Industrial Estate. You will lead, maintain and continually improve the ISO 9001:2015 QMS across site operations.

You will manage the quality team, oversee inspection and quality control, ensure audit readiness including IATF 16949, and drive root cause investigations with corrective actions in manufacturing and farming sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QMS requirements.
• Experience managing internal audits and external audits to IATF 16949, including supplier audits, NCRs and corrective actions.
• Experience supervising Quality Inspectors/Technicians or quality teams.
• Understanding of inspection, product conformity, process control, traceability and documentation.
• Ability to conduct investigations and apply root cause analysis.
• Strong communication with operational teams, senior management, suppliers, customers and external auditors.
• Good organisational skills to manage audit schedules, investigation actions and reporting deadlines.
• Hands-on approach to supporting site operations while maintaining QMS compliance.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ/City & Guilds/HNC.
• Quality engineering qualification such as NVQ/City & Guilds/HNC.
• Quality Manager level experience in engineering/manufacturing desirable.

Responsibilities

Job description

Quality Manager required for our leading International client based in Wrexham Industrial Estate.

As the Quality Manager, you will lead, maintain and continually improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring quality standards are effectively implemented across site operations.

The Quality Manager will manage the quality team, oversee inspection and quality control activities, maintain audit readiness and provide practical quality support across the business.

Key responsibilities

Will include managing internal and external audit preparation to IATF 16949 audit standard by monitoring quality performance and KPIs, overseeing non-conformance processes, leading root cause investigations and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively within the Automotive and Farming sectors.

The Quality Manager will also manage customer complaints, support supplier quality performance and promote a positive culture of continual improvement.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management System requirements relevant to a Quality Manager
• Experience managing internal audits, external audit preparation to IATF 16949 standard, to include supplier audits, NCRs, customer complaints and corrective action processes.
• Previous experience managing or supervising Quality Inspectors, Quality Technicians or operational quality teams - Advantageous
• Strong understanding of quality inspection, product conformity, process control, traceability and documentation requirements _Advantageous
• Ability to conduct detailed investigations and apply root cause analysis techniques
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operational teams, senior management, suppliers, customers and external auditors
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, audit schedules, investigation actions and reporting deadlines
• Practical, hands-on approach to supporting site operations while maintaining Quality Management System compliance
• Engineering qualification such as an NVQ, City & Guilds or HNC

• Previous experience operating at Quality Manager level within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be highly relevant to the position = desirable
