Job summary

E3 Recruitment in Warrington is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead strategic and operational quality across our process manufacturing operations. You will develop quality strategies aligned with business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer and internal requirements.

You will lead the Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives, manage budgets, train the team and build relationships with stakeholders to embed a culture of quality

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or Quality Management or related field.
  • Significant experience in a quality leadership role within regulated manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards.
  • Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and influencing senior stakeholders.

Job description

Quality Manager opportunity available offering a competitive salary of £75,000 - £95,000 in Warrington! The Quality Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for quality across the process manufacturing operations. You will develop and deliver quality strategies aligned with wider business objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and internal requirements. Leading the Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives, you will drive operational excellence, reduce risk and promote a strong culture of quality.

Key responsibilities of the Quality Manager:
  • Develop and deliver the quality and regulatory strategy in line with business objectives, supporting sustainable growth, long-term value creation and operational excellence.
  • Lead all aspects of quality management and regulatory compliance, ensuring robust policies, SOPs, processes and procedures are implemented, maintained and continuously improved.
  • Drive a proactive approach to quality, safety and risk management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards while minimising operational, financial and reputational risk.
  • Champion lean and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, reduce waste, improve performance and minimise cost across the operation.
  • Lead, develop and train the quality management team, while building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to embed a strong culture of quality and accountability.
  • Manage quality budgets and resources effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities, supporting capital expenditure decisions and ensuring investment delivers measurable long-term business value.
Qualifications & Experience required from the Quality Manager:
  • Degree qualified in Chemistry, Quality Management or a related scientific or technical discipline; relevant professional qualifications are desirable.
  • Significant experience in a quality leadership role within chemical manufacturing, process manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 or 45001), regulatory compliance, auditing, risk management and the development and implementation of quality policies, SOPs and procedures.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, driving continuous improvement, managing budgets, and influencing senior stakeholders to deliver strategic business objectives.
