What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering internal audits, while preparing the business for external inspections.
  • Hosting and coordinating customer-led audits, ensuring the business puts its best foot forward.
  • Leading on customer complaints - getting to the root cause and putting lasting corrective measures in place.
  • Benchmarking current systems against GMP and ISO frameworks, with a view to future accreditation.
  • Signing off incoming raw materials and components before they're released to production.
  • Vetting and reviewing suppliers to confirm materials meet quality, consistency and ethical sourcing expectations.
  • Keeping SOPs, procedures and technical policies current and fit for purpose.
  • Maintaining accurate technical records across customer and regulatory platforms.
  • Staying on top of portal updates, queries and submissions in good time.
  • Partnering with other departments to iron out technical problems and push improvement projects forward.
  • Picking up additional quality-related work as priorities shift.

What We're Looking For

  • Sound working knowledge of BRCGS and what's involved in audit preparation.
  • Hands-on experience running internal audits and managing external audit visits.
  • A working understanding of COMAH and what it means for day-to-day compliance.
  • Confidence in spotting risks early and putting sensible mitigations in place.
  • The ability to write clear, useful reports that stand up to scrutiny - internally and externally.
  • Practical experience keeping documentation and quality systems organised and current.
  • A logical, solutions-focused approach when technical issues crop up.
  • Comfortable communicating and building relationships with people at every level
  • A close eye for detail and a structured way of working.
