Job description

Job Title: Quality Manager

Shift: Day Shift - 39 Hours per week - Monday to Thursday (Friday off!)

Rate: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Area: Southampton, Hampshire

Purpose of the job:

This is a superb opportunity for a Quality Manager to lead all aspects of Quality Management and Continuous Improvement for a growing precision engineering group. They will also consider someone who is currently a Quality Engineer to step up to this level.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  1. Design, implement and maintain all aspects of the Quality Management System in accordance with the relevant standards.
  2. Review existing procedures to ensure they meet current guidelines.
  3. Maintain documentation of procedural changes.
  4. Prepare performance reports for relevant stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet quality standards.
  6. Ensure that all processes meet safety, legal, and other standards.
  7. Manage all aspects of QA.
  8. Conduct internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
  9. Engage in Risk Management Activities.
  10. Manage Customer Feedback.
Specification:
  1. Proactive approach to work.
  2. Forward thinking.
  3. In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  4. Experience in working with NADCAP approvals.
  5. Experience in working with APQP & PPAP techniques in accordance with AS9145 and FAIR in accordance with AS9102.
