Job summary

MTrec Ltd Technical is seeking a Quality Manager to ensure ISO9001 UKAS compliance and lead quality assurance across a small team. You will drive continuous improvement, monitor orders with QMS, and work closely with internal teams and customers to optimise processes.

The role requires experience in engineering/manufacturing quality, ISO9001 auditing, strong communication, and IT literacy. An immediate start is possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Manager or similar in engineering/manufacturing.
• ISO9001 Auditor qualification and experience.
• IT literate with good numeracy and literacy.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Able to lead a small team of quality inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ISO9001 UKAS accreditation.
• Lead 1-2 quality inspectors and coordinate QA activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments and customers on quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Utilise QMS to track orders and ensure traceability.

MTrec Recruitment are proudly representing our specialist manufacturing client in their recruitment for a Quality Manager to expand their current team. The main focus of the role is to ensure compliance with ISO9001 UKAS accreditation, and to implement continuous improvement strategies across the business as their portfolio of clients continues to grow

The Job you will do:

• Ensure compliance with ISO9001 UKAS accreditation
• Responsible for a team of 1-2 Quality Inspectors
• Manage and co-ordinate the quality assurance function in close co-operation with internal departments and customers
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Use Quality Management Software to track and monitor the progress of orders in the facility, ensuring full traceability at all times.
• Develop and implement changes that reduce waste and increase efficiency
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports

About you:

• Experience as a Quality Manager or similar within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
• Chemical or Precision Engineering experience is desirable
• ISO9001 Auditor qualification and experience
• Able to self-motivate
• Comfortable leading a small team of quality inspectors
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• IT Literate
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
