Job description

Quality Manager
Fenland area
£45,000

We don't want a quality manager who hides in an office writing reports nobody reads. We want someone who lives on the factory floor, spots problems before they become incidents, and makes food safety something people want to get right.

The job

Run the QA operation across a busy manufacturing site. Six QA Assistants report to you. You report to the Head of Quality & Technical. HACCP, GMP, allergens, calibration, traceability, BRCGS, you will own it all.

You'll be the person customers trust, auditors respect, and the shop floor actually listens to.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading a visible, hands-on QA function
  • Keeping the site audit-ready every day, not just audit week
  • Driving root cause analysis and CAPA that actually closes the loop
  • Building a food safety culture people buy into
  • Coaching and developing your team
  • Owning complaints, non-conformances and recall readiness
What you'll need
  • Degree in Food Science, Quality, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in food manufacturing quality, 3+ managing people
  • HACCP Level 3 minimum, strong BRCGS knowledge, internal audit experience
  • The confidence to challenge poor practice and the credibility to make it stick

Bring your experience, your standards, and your backbone. We'll bring the rest.
