Job description

Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing

This is far more than a compliance-led role. It's an opportunity with real autonomy to influence and ensure quality remains at the centre of every decision the business makes.

As Quality Assurance Manager, you'll lead the site's QA team, taking ownership of the Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, customer and legislative requirements.

You'll be joining a food manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for innovation, technical excellence and long-standing customer partnerships.

You'll be the driving force behind continuous improvement, leading internal and external audits, analysing trends, identifying risks before they become issues and implementing sustainable solutions that strengthen quality performance across the site.

Working closely with Production, Operations and Supply Chain, you'll build strong relationships across the business, providing technical guidance, coaching colleagues and ensuring food safety and quality standards are consistently achieved. You'll also play a key role in supplier quality, allergen management, environmental monitoring and customer engagement, acting as a trusted technical expert both internally and externally.

Just as importantly, you'll be passionate about developing people. You'll enjoy mentoring your team, building capability and creating an environment where continuous improvement is embraced rather than enforced.

About You

You’ll already have experience leading Quality within a food manufacturing environment and will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing business where standards are high and continuous improvement is part of everyday life.

We’re looking for someone who combines technical credibility with strong leadership skills—someone who can influence at every level of the business, communicate confidently with customers and auditors, and bring people with them on the journey.

You’ll ideally offer:

  • Experience in a Quality Assurance Manager or quality supervisory role within food manufacturing.
  • A thorough understanding of BRCGS, HACCP and food safety legislation.
  • Proven experience leading customer, certification and regulatory audits.
  • Level 3 HACCP and/or Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
  • A degree in Food Science or a related discipline
  • The permanent right to work in the UK
Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a business that’s investing in its people, its facilities and its future. You'll have the autonomy to shape quality strategy, influence site performance and make a genuine impact within an organisation where technical excellence is recognised as a key driver of success.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise will be valued, your ideas listened to and your leadership can make a lasting difference, we'd love to speak with you.
