Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Quality Manager in Ebbw Vale to lead the site Quality Management System and maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 accreditation. You will drive audits, supplier quality, product safety and continual improvement initiatives within a growing manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on auditing expertise, strong problem-solving skills and experience with automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA). Excellent training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining a certified QMS (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Experience planning and conducting internal audits.
• Experience supporting certification-body and customer audits.
• Structured problem solving, root-cause analysis and 8D.
• Working knowledge of automotive Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
• Experience reviewing PPAP submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System to meet ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Analyze audits, customer feedback, supplier performance and risk to drive corrective actions and continual improvement.
• Manage all audit activities including internal and layered process audits for certification support.
• Represent quality to customers and product safety teams and coordinate APQP/PPAP and compliance.
• Lead supplier quality and governance, including supplier development and traceability controls.

Hunter Selection are working with an expanding business looking for a Quality Manager. This role will see you involved in auditing, certifications, management of a QMS as well as driving quality standards and continuous improvement activities. This role will enable you to develop your own team and drive improvements across a growing business.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Drive quality performance through analysis of audits, customer feedback, supplier performance, and risk assessments, identifying opportunities for corrective action and continual improvement.
• Manage and oversee all audit activities, including risk-based internal and layered process audits, ensuring process effectiveness, compliance, and support for certification requirements.
• Act as the primary quality representative for customers and product safety, overseeing APQP, PPAP, corrective actions, product conformity, and adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.
• Lead supplier quality and product governance activities, including supplier development, performance monitoring, specification approval, outsourced process control, and maintenance of robust quality controls and traceability systems.
