Reporting to the Business Manager, the mission of the role is to support quality-based decisions and actions of the senior management team both within and outside of the product company Bolton through the conversion of management system data from an extensive range of sources into meaningful business information.

The role involves continually improving management systems at the Bolton site by identifying issues and working proactively within local and global teams to enhance processes. Ensuring that processes align with Atlas Copco global requirements, international standards, and customer expectations is essential.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Drive the effective implementation and improvement of the Quality Document Management System at the Bolton site in line with Atlas Copco global requirements, international standards, and customer requirements.
  2. Maintain the site Internal Quality Audit programme in line with business risks and management systems requirements.
  3. Conduct Business Management System audits following the integrated audit plan, ensuring follow-up and support of interested parties to resolve corrective actions.
  4. Lead customer meetings as PC Bolton Quality Manager.
  5. Maintain the execution of the site Quality Document Management System, contributing to the maintenance, upgrade, and development of quality control procedures in line with business, ISO, and customer requirements.
  6. Utilise, implement, and deploy necessary Quality tools and techniques to improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  7. Develop and deliver Quality training and awareness sessions to relevant employees and management.
  8. Monitor and report on compliance with QMS procedures and international standards.
  9. Project manage business improvement projects.
Skills / Experience
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English, capable of explaining complex issues simply.
  • Coaching, listening, and questioning skills; open-minded to others' views when developing solutions.
  • Strong self-awareness and self-regulation, especially under pressure.
  • Customer and commercial awareness (preferred).
  • High self-motivation with the ability to manage projects to completion.
  • Empathy when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Strong social skills to motivate others positively.
  • Creative, tenacious, out-of-the-box thinker with a can-do attitude.
  • Professional communication at all levels, motivated, ambitious, positive outlook, team-oriented.
  • Current member of Chartered Quality Institute (preferred).
  • Proven continued professional development and technical competence.
  • Track record of continuous improvement across business functions.
  • Minimum five years recent experience in a Quality role within an ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949 certified organization.
