Ernest Gordon Recruitment in Derby is seeking a Quality Inspector with experience in Precision Engineering to join a well‑established engineering company. You will carry out first‑off, in‑process and final inspections on precision components and use micrometers, height gauges and bore gauges to verify against drawings and specifications.

The role offers training on CMM, a Monday‑to‑Friday pattern, private medical insurance after probation, progression opportunities and overall company benefits.

• Quality Inspector experience.
• Background in precision engineering.

Responsabilités

• Carry out first‑off, in‑process and final inspection of precision‑engineered components.
• Inspect machined parts, small castings and hand‑held mechanical components.
• Undertake incoming and outgoing material and component inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and technical specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges.
• Check manufactured components against customer requirements and engineering specifications.
