Job summary

MNB Precision Ltd, Coventry-based precision engineering specialist, is seeking a Quality Inspector for a hands-on, low-volume/high-value inspection role. You will conduct dimensional checks on machined parts, using manual instruments, with some CMM work and training provided.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, understanding GD&T and producing inspection reports, FAIRs and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience using verniers, calipers, micrometers and shadowgraph.
• Understanding GD&T symbols and reading engineering drawings.
• Experience creating inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Experience with non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of machined components using manual measuring equipment.
• Some CMM inspection when required (training can be provided).
• Complete inspection reports, FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTION REPORTS (FAIRs) and quality documentation.
• Maintain traceability of inspected parts and ensure correct batch identification.
• Identify and raise NCRs when parts fall outside specification.
• Communicate quality issues with production, machining and engineering teams.

The Role

The Quality Inspector vacancy is a hands-on Inspection role, mainly manual inspection and will suit someone that enjoys technical, low-volume/high-value work.

For The Role Of Quality Inspector, You Will

• You will perform dimensional inspection of machined components using manual measuring equipment for the role of Quality Inspector

What We're Looking For

• Understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols
• You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings for the Quality Inspector role

• Experience creating inspection reports, FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), and quality documentation
