Job summary

Belcan seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to back a major infrastructure programme at Rosyth Dockyard, Scotland. The role covers quality control inspections across supplier, manufacturing, construction and site activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

You will witness tests and inspections, manage NCRs, produce detailed inspection reports, and support project teams with QA updates and LTQR verification in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification in civil/construction engineering.
• Proven quality inspection experience in manufacturing, construction or infra environments.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, ITPs and Quality Plans.
• Experience with welding, NDT, coatings or electrical works inspection techniques.
• Proficient with electronic reporting tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out QC inspections per specifications, QA Plans and ITPs.
• Witness FATs, SATs and testing activities.
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with procedures and QA requirements.
• Ensure calibration/maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Raise and manage NCRs, deviations and concessions as needed.
• Produce inspection reports and provide QA updates to teams.
• Support supplier assessments and capability reviews.
• Verify LTQRs and maintain project documentation.
• Provide objective QA evidence to support decisions.
• Support NEC4 Supervisor activities and hold/witness points.
