Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Quality Inspector (Civils QC) on a contract basis to support civils quality control across site and supplier activities within a highly regulated environment.

Location: Rosyth, on-site attendance required three days per fortnight for critical meetings. SC cleared or SC eligible (UKEO) is required. Desirable NEC4 experience (Supervisor-related) and exposure to specialist inspection activities (e.g. welding, NDT, coatings, electrical).

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong QC/inspection background within civils/construction.
• Experience in highly regulated environments (nuclear/defence).
• Proficient with MS Office and electronic reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality control inspections in line with specifications, Quality Plans and ITPs.
• Undertake inspection / witnessing / surveillance across supplier and site activities.
• Ensure work is completed by SQEP personnel and quality evidence is recorded.
• Raise and support resolution of NCRs, deviations and concessions with technical detail.
• Verify inspection and test equipment is calibrated and controlled.
• Produce inspection reports and support LTQRs completion.
• Support the NEC4 Supervisor with objective evidence and recommendations.

A leading organisation in the defence & security sector is seeking a Quality Inspector to support civils quality control across site and supplier activities within a highly regulated environment.

Location: Rosyth (on-site attendance required 3 days per fortnight for critical meetings)

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality control inspections in line with specifications, Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Undertake inspection / witnessing / surveillance across supplier and site activities
• Ensure work is completed by SQEP personnel and quality requirements are evidenced with accurate records
• Raise and support resolution of NCRs, deviations and concessions with clear technical detail
• Verify inspection and test equipment is calibrated and controlled appropriately
• Produce inspection reports and support Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) completion
• Support the NEC4 Supervisor with objective evidence and technical recommendations

Skills & experience required

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong QC/inspection background within civils / construction
• Experience in a highly regulated environment (ideally nuclear, defence, or similar)
• Confident using electronic reporting tools and MS Office
• Strong communication skills and a firm-but-fair approach

Desirable: NEC4 experience (Supervisor-related), plus exposure to specialist inspection activities (e.g. welding, NDT, coatings, electrical).
