Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the Sizewell C civil works, collaborating with construction teams to ensure compliance with drawings, ITPs and quality standards. The role bridges off-site manufacture and on-site installation, enhancing QA/QC across the asset lifecycle.

You will review documentation, identify non-conformances, and drive corrective actions while maintaining records and reporting to the Quality Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in civil construction quality inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications (ITPs).
• UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site.
• Experience in nuclear, regulated or high-complexity environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to approved quality control procedures and safety protocols
• Review and interpret drawings, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and technical specifications to confirm accuracy and compliance
• Identify, record and report non-conformances, supporting effective corrective and preventative actions
• Work collaboratively with contractors, engineers, supervisors and project managers to resolve quality issues and support right-first-time delivery
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports and supporting quality documentation
• Verify that materials, workmanship and completed works meet acceptance criteria prior to handover
• Participate in site meetings, providing quality input and supporting construction progress discussions
