Job summary

Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to join a busy manufacturing team on a short-term contract. The role focuses on ensuring products meet quality standards and safety regulations before customers receive them.

Hours are 37 per week; the contract runs at least until end of 2026 with potential extension. The job involves visual and dimensional inspections, reading engineering drawings, and reporting non-conformances, with on-site and occasional off-site

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or quality inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiar with measuring equipment (tape measures, verniers, gauges).

Responsibilities

Contract: Ongoing temporary / short-term project- at least until the end of 2026 with a chance of extension into 2027 subject to project requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of frames and assemblies.


• Check products against engineering drawings and specifications.


• Record inspection results using a laptop.


• Identify and report quality issues and non-conforming products.


• Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are met.


• Follow health and safety procedures and support continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or quality inspection is desirable.


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.


• Confident using measuring equipment such as tape measures, verniers and gauges.


• Good attention to detail, numeracy and basic IT skills.


• A proactive team player with good communication skills.

Working Arrangements: The role will involve working both on-site and off-site when required.

Previous and similar experience is required – immediate start (week commencing 19.11.2026 ideally)
