Job summary

Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to join a busy manufacturing team on a short-term contract for an HS2 project. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections and ensure products meet engineering drawings and specifications.

The role requires experience in manufacturing or quality inspection, the ability to read drawings, and proficiency with measuring equipment. Immediate start preferred, with hybrid on-site/off-site duties and a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or quality inspection is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Confident using measuring equipment such as tape measures, verniers and gauges.
• Good attention to detail, numeracy and basic IT skills.
• A proactive team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of frames and assemblies.
• Check products against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Record inspection results using a laptop.
• Identify and report quality issues and non-conforming products.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow health and safety procedures and support continuous improvement.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all products meet established quality standards and safety regulations before reaching customers. The ideal candidate will play a vital role

Pay Rate: £15.38-£17.94 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Ongoing temporary / short-term project- at least until the end of 2026 with a chance of extension into 2027

Drivers license is essential
