Job summary

A leading company in the Appliances and Electronics Manufacturing industry is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards. The role involves inspecting raw materials, maintaining testing records, and preparing reports for the Quality Manager. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, relevant experience, and a solid understanding of quality control standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role.
• Knowledge of Electrical/Electronic theories and practices.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS9100 & ISO 9001).

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
• Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards
• Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.)
• Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
• Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products per day
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained; discard any that doesn’t meet requirements
• Prepare and submit reports to the Quality Manager

Experience

• Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Knowledge of Electrical/Electronic theories and practices
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
• Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
• Experience with Quality Management Systems to recognised standards (e.g., AS9100 & ISO 9001)
• Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 (advantageous)
• Proficiency in MS Office and IT programs
