Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 14:00
(40 hours per week)
Salary:
Up to £17.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Reports to: Inspection Team Leader
23 days annual leave + bank holidays

With over two decades of experience, the company has built a reputation for excellence, working with some of the most demanding clients in motorsport and high-performance engineering. Their core competencies include deep hole drilling, honing, forged piston manufacturing, and advanced coating technologies.
Inspect mechanical components and assemblies using a variety of precision measuring tools
Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Verify dimensional accuracy using hand-held tools, height gauges, bore gauges, and surface finish testers
Operate or assist with the operation of CMM (ideally Mitutoyo) for inspection routines
Record inspection results and complete associated documentation accurately
Work to quality control standards, preferably AS9100
Communicate effectively with the wider production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Advanced Apprenticeship or Higher Education Qualification in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Previous experience in a Mechanical or Quality Inspector role within a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment is essential
Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Solid Microsoft Office skills (especially Word and Excel)
Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards
Detail-oriented with strong communication and time management abilities
