Join a world-leading, global Battery Manufacturing organisation based in the North East of England. Support the development and operation of a world-class, innovative, large-scale mass manufacturing plant.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large-scale, net zero industrial development adopting new and emerging technologies to support the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

Main Objectives:

The inspector's role involves completing departmental objectives through daily inspections and validation tasks, maintaining a shop floor presence with a focus on quality and safety, and supporting containment activities.

Outline and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain standards related to Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
  • Support departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct dimensional, visual, and data-related quality checks within a team of Quality Inspectors.
  • Work with test and analysis equipment such as microscopes and X-ray machines.
  • Conduct or support Process & Product Audits in line with IATF requirements.
  • Assist with 8D and root cause analysis investigations.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the company in line with terms and conditions.
Background and Experience Required:
  • Proficient in PC use, experienced with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within a Lithium Battery facility is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO9001 / 14001 standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work in shift patterns.
  • Ability to undertake planned overtime when required.
