Quality Inspector

Job Purpose

To support the manufacturing shop floor by ensuring that all food processing equipment meets the highest quality standards, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the food industry. This role is ideal for someone with a recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant experience seeking to progress in a quality engineering role.

Main Duties

  1. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure products meet standards and customer expectations.
  2. Testing and Inspection: Conduct inspections and tests to identify issues early in production.
  3. Root Cause Analysis: Analyze defects, identify causes, and implement corrective actions.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain quality documentation and report on malfunctions and corrective measures.
  5. Collaboration: Work with teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
  6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Candidate Profile

  1. Recognised engineering apprenticeship in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, manufacturing).
  2. Relevant experience in quality engineering or a related role.
  3. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  7. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is desirable.
